Lend4Good began with a simple idea and a big heart.

Founded in 2015 by OMG’s fearless leader and animal lover, Sarah Engstrom (NMLS #245903), Lend4Good was created as a way to turn home financing into something even more meaningful: a chance to give back to the animals who need us most.

​

As Sarah’s mortgage career blossomed, so did her desire to give generously to local rescue organizations—the ones tirelessly working to heal, shelter, and rehome vulnerable animals. With a lifelong love of pets (we're talking dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, rabbits, even lizards!), it was only natural that animals would be at the heart of this mission.

But this wasn’t just about giving back—it was about bringing clients into the impact.
That’s how Lend4Good was born: a program that donates to animal rescues on behalf of every OMG client we help into a new home.

💚 In our first year, we donated $4,025.
🎉 We threw a party when we hit $50k.
🐶 And in 2026, we surpassed $100,000 in donations!

Each year, we’ve increased our giving and expanded our reach, helping more animals get the care, safety, and second chances they deserve. What started with one woman’s dream is now a full-force, team-powered mission that grows with every loan, every client, and every wagging tail we get to help along the way.
